2008년 개봉한 나홍진 감독의 데뷔작이다. 전직 형사 출신으로 출장안마소를 운영하는 엄중호(김윤석)는 데리고 있던 여성들이 잇따라 사라지자, 그들을 빼돌려 팔아넘겼다고 의심한다. 어느 날 같은 고객 번호로 호출이 들어오고, 엄중호는 그 자를 쫓는 과정에서 정체불명의 사내 지영민(하정우)과 맞닥뜨린다. 추격 끝에 그를 붙잡지만, 지영민은 자신이 여성들을 죽였다고 태연히 자백한다. 마지막 피해자 미진이 아직 살아 있을지 모른다는 한 가닥 가능성 앞에서, 무능한 경찰과 시간을 다투며 엄중호의 처절한 추격이 시작된다.

Eom Joong-ho (Kim Yoon-seok), a disgraced ex-detective now running an escort service, grows convinced that someone is trafficking the women under his employ after several of them vanish without a trace. When a new call comes in from a phone number tied to two of the missing women, Joong-ho sets off to confront the customer, only to collide head-on with a soft-spoken stranger named Je Yeong-min (Ha Jung-woo). After a brutal street chase, Joong-ho catches him — and Yeong-min calmly confesses to murdering the women with a hammer and chisel. But the latest victim, Mi-jin, may still be alive. With the police bound by procedure and quick to release their suspect for lack of a body, Joong-ho races through the rain-soaked alleys of Seoul against the clock, driven less by conscience than by desperate, mounting urgency, in a manhunt where every wasted minute may cost a life.
